YMMA is excited to announce a new collaboration with Mr. Rabinder Parasher, a distinguished former student of Gandharva Maha Vidyalaya, India. We are now offering Indian classical vocal lessons in the Hindustani style, focusing on the rich tradition of Raga. These lessons will help students develop vocal techniques, understand rhythmic patterns, and master the art of improvisation.
This program is an 18-week, semester-based group lesson course. Every six weeks, students complete a set of lessons, progressing from Level 1 (Foundations of Raga) to Level 2 (Raga Techniques), and finally to Level 3 (Raga Performance). Each lesson includes an explanation of the history and concepts, vocal warm-up exercises, and Raga singing practice. The duration of each lesson is 45 minutes, with an additional 5-10 minutes reserved for a Q&A session at the end.
Mr. Rabinder Parasher is a US-based Indian classical singer with over 35 years of experience in the music industry. Born and raised in Chandigarh, India, Rabinder began his journey in Indian classical music by learning Hindustani classical vocal at Gandharva Maha Vidyalaya, Panchkula (Haryana), India, under the guidance of his guru, Pt. Ramesh Chandra Dutt, starting in 1986. After four years of training, Rabinder started composing jingles for cinema halls and local radio stations in Chandigarh. He also began composing and performing classical, semi-classical, and light music on various stages across Chandigarh, Punjab, and Haryana.
In 1997, Rabinder moved to Mumbai with his family and continued his career as a professional singer, performing classical, semi-classical, and light compositions on various stages throughout the city. Additionally, he worked in the composing departments of several Bollywood music directors, gaining extensive experience in both singing and composing.
Rabinder recently moved to Edison, New Jersey, and has collaborated with the Young Mozart Music Academy. His goal is to provide Indian classical vocal training to aspiring singers in New Jersey and help them become professional artists. The Hindustani classical vocal lessons and curriculum, taught by Rabinder Parasher, are written, designed, and brought to you by Parasher Brothers Entertainment LLC.

A: As explained above, if you join in the middle of Level 1, you can pay for the remaining lessons in this level for the current semester.
Q: What if I miss some lessons?
A: At the end of each level, we offer a free makeup lesson. Over the entire semester, there will be three makeup lessons available.

A: Yes, we occasionally host free trial events. Please follow our emails and social media for announcements.
